Hair Care Tips When Traveling

Hair Care Tips for Travellers

Travel size containers

Plan what hair care products to bring. Yes, it is always about planning. When we travel, we usually have limited number of things to bring so I suggest that you bring your hair care products in sampler sizes or in travel bottles. Just make sure you have enough product that will last during your trip. Don’t forget to bring hair elastics, bobby pins, and hair clips as well as these may come in handy.

Conditioner

Prepare your hair before swimming in pools and beaches. The water from pools and beaches can react to your hair negatively. There are cases that blonde hair turns green when dipped in water with chlorine so you better be careful with that. Ask a specialist or search in the internet how to avoid this. Salt water in beaches can dry your hair, too. Make sure you condition them whenever you get out of the water.

Use a hat or a bandana

Tie and protect your hair whenever you’re in hot and humid areas. You must not prolong staying under the sun without protecting your hair as this may cause discolouration, dry and brittle hair strands, split ends, and even thinning. Use a hat or a bandana to protect your hair while travelling in hot and humid places. Make sure to tie your hair as well to keep your neck cool.

Brush your hair

This is a common tip but I’ll include it anyway. Let’s say, you became so busy with travelling and exploring new things that you forgot about taking care of your hair. Never leave your hair un-brushed for a week. We don’t want a tangled hair that causes breakage, right?

Invest in one or two best products

Sometimes, we go to the cheapest alternative for hair care products but this may compromise quality. If you really want to have a good-hair-all-day trip, buying a really good product is an option for you. These products may include hair essential oils, hair dry shampoos and/or conditioners, hair masks, or hair treatments.

Just remember, you shouldn’t stress a lot about your hair when it comes to traveling and some of the tips I included above are ways on how to have a nice and stress-free vacation to you! How do you maintain a beautiful and healthy hair while traveling? Share it with us!

Is Seasonal Hair Loss in Men Real?

April 03, 2018

Most men have more symptoms of hair shedding and other issues between September and November because the hair follicles enter their resting (telogen) phase mid-summer. This causes more hair than normal to fall out. The follicles will stay in this phase for several months, but the hair will begin to regrow in winter when Mother Nature thinks you need it most.

March 27, 2018

We've all heard the warnings over the years: Your metabolism goes on strike overnight, so you shouldn't eat too close to bedtime or that food will sit in your stomach like a rock (at least until it migrates elsewhere on your body and refuses to budge). And yet I’ve done it. You probably have too. So, how bad is it to eat right before bed? And is it smarter to skip a meal altogether if you miss that dinnertime window?
